Position 1: Senior Specialist in Managing Information, Education Cluster
Job Requirements
Possession of a university degree, preferably at an advanced level, in a relevant field such as information management, computer science, statistics, or related disciplines
Prior experience in the humanitarian sector, including familiarity with the Humanitarian Program Cycle, particularly in Humanitarian Response Planning and/or Humanitarian Needs Overview
Proficiency in information management, including the ability to conduct assessments, develop tools, analyze data, and train data collectors
Extensive experience in website management and the development of dashboards and mappings, including expertise in Power BI
Familiarity with Q-GIS and geographic data management
Minimum of 10 years of work experience, with previous involvement in cluster coordination considered advantageous, especially in senior management roles within Education in Emergency (EiE) programs

Coordination
Enhance the existing humanitarian coordination mechanism for the Education Cluster’s response to emergencies, bolstering pre-existing sectoral coordination and contributing to core cluster functions
Facilitate Education Cluster meetings at federal and regional levels, ensuring timely preparation and sharing of meeting agendas and minutes, and following up on Action Points
Foster effective communication, reporting, engagement, and coordination between national and subnational (regional) Education Clusters
Information Management
Establish and maintain an effective information management system for sharing information and generating analysis among federal and regional Education Cluster partners and other stakeholders
Adapt existing national and subnational information management approaches for collecting, analyzing, and reporting Cluster activities and resources, identifying information gaps in collaboration with Cluster Members
Address information needs of Cluster participants
Maintain information databases to consolidate, analyze, and disseminate critical information for decision-making
Estimate spatial and temporal gaps, overlaps, and coverage of Education Cluster partner activities and projects
Utilize GIS mapping for map production and geographic data management
Promote the use of global standards for information management for interoperability
Assessments
Encourage and coordinate initiation of Education in Emergencies related assessments, share results, and provide access to assessment data and information to Education Cluster members

Job Requirements

Experience providing technical support, capacity-building, and coordination

Collaborate with ECSC-SUN National Lead to develop concept notes, proposals, and budgets for potential donors; develop log frames, detailed implementation plans, and M&E plans as part of proposal packages, and revise proposals based on feedback from coalition members and donors
Provide technical inputs for mapping, capacity gap assessments, and strengthening of Food Systems Transformation, Food and Nutrition Strategy, and Seqota Declaration regional coordination; monitor effective implementation and ensure alignment with international and national standards
Engage in capacity-building activities, including training and knowledge transfer to Food and Nutrition implementing sectors and ECSC-SUN members; lead regional capacity-building initiatives and provide support to agencies leading different regions within ECSC-SUN
Provide technical support for the start-up and implementation of ECSC-SUN regionalization and thematic focus initiatives through supervision, mentoring, coaching, review meetings, capacity-building, and learning visits
Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in SUN MSP and ECSC-SUN meetings, forums, and workshops
Organize meetings and workshops with Regional Government officials and bureau staff to introduce SUN MSP’s purpose and function
Monitor the planned activities of SUN MSP and ECSC SUN project, ensuring completion of strategic plans and other contracted tasks
Provide technical support for the establishment of Food Systems and Nutrition councils, including training, capacity building, and strategic planning workshops
Support the implementation of Ethiopian Food System Transformation Road Map, National Food and Nutrition strategy, and Seqota Declaration expansion phase

Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in public health, nursing, or related fields
