Meba Microfinance Institution S.C., currently in the formation phase, is a registered microfinance establishment under the supervision of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE). Position 1: Junior/Trainee Customer Service Officer
Job Description:
The Junior/Trainee Customer Service Officer is responsible for familiarizing themselves with the overall operations of the company and branch, gathering financial performance data from various sources, and identifying potential savers.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquaintance with company saving & credit guidelines and branch operations
Providing orientation to clients on savings and loan utilization
Identification of potential high-value depositors, institutions/groups, and individuals
Assisting in evaluating customer survey feedback implications
Coordinating client orientation regarding available savings products, emphasizing customer value propositions
Monitoring saving deposit and withdrawal recording, reconciling subsidiary ledgers monthly
Collecting data on savings and preparing monthly reports
Assisting in designing client exit survey tools to capture feedback for policy and procedural adjustments
Tracking dormant and inactive accounts, updating client passbook entries as required
Promoting company saving products effectively and conducting saving mobilization activities daily
Education:
BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Marketing/Management/Accounting or related fields
Experience:
No prior experience required, with at least two years in a similar position
Good knowledge of the microfinance industry
Understanding of company operation policies
Familiarity with banking and marketing management principles and practices
Proficiency in financial and marketing management concepts
Strong communication skills

Handling branch cash transactions efficiently
Maintaining accurate records of cash transactions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Marketing/Management/Accounting or related fields
Experience:
No prior experience required, with at least one year in a similar position
