Requirements:
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Project Management, Operations, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in strategic planning, project management, business, or organizational strategy, with familiarity in UNICEF’s CPMP process and accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for relationship-building.
- Proven ability to work effectively within teams, facilitate discussions, and cultivate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in multicultural environments, with an advantage given to those with developing country or emergency settings experience.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in another official UN language or a local language is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the CPD for 2025-2030 and related documents to support the new country program.
- Assist in consolidating and implementing strategic shifts proposed by the new country program.
- Coordinate with key staff in Addis Ababa and remotely with field offices to evaluate the current management structure and propose restructuring principles.
- Conduct SWOT analysis of the management structure to enhance its effectiveness in meeting evolving challenges.
- Prepare affordability analysis to support staffing structure adjustments.
- Update the office accountability framework and ensure compliance with UNICEF guidelines and previous PBR lessons.
- Draft and edit narrative reports on the CPMP based on office guidance and notes.

Position 2: WASH Officer
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behavior Change Communication, Sanitary Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in WASH-related programs for developing countries.
- Fluency in English and Amharic required; proficiency in another official UN language or a local language is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Program Development and Planning:
- Contribute to the development of WASH-related outcomes and outputs by drafting updates for the situation analysis and researching trends in the WASH sector.
- Prepare technical reports and inputs for program documentation, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Assist in establishing WASH-related outcomes, outputs, and strategies based on sector needs and priorities.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout the program lifecycle, including preparing documentation for review and approval processes.
Program Management, Monitoring, and Delivery of Results:
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to analyze implementation issues and provide solutions, alerting stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain records of reports and assessments, capturing lessons learned for institutional knowledge.
- Participate in monitoring, evaluation, and review exercises, preparing reports on program results for management and stakeholders.
- Monitor sectoral program resources and compliance with organizational rules, regulations, and donor commitments.
