IT Support Role Summary
Primary Focus:
- Computer operations
- User and desktop support (hardware and software)
- Help desk and data management
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of moderately complex IT support tasks to ensure smooth delivery of technology services.
- Utilize computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools for customer assistance, production job processing, equipment maintenance and repair, and computer operations.
- Manage tasks with minimal supervision, occasionally acting as a lead when necessary.
- Update supervisors on project statuses or technical issues.
- Apply judgment and creativity in selecting and implementing procedures, and determine when to escalate issues to higher levels of support.
- Provide information to students, staff, faculty, or the general public regarding established policies, procedures, or services offered.
