Position Senior M&E Specialist
Job Description

Job Summary:
Reports to the Marketing and Communication Director.
Design, implement, and manage monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems.
Ensure evidence-based, results-oriented, and aligned activities with established targets.
Duties/Tasks:
M&E System Development:
Design, develop, and implement M&E frameworks tailored to specific initiatives.
Capture relevant data and indicators for measuring progress, outcomes, and impacts.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Oversee the collection, verification, and analysis of data from various sources.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative methodologies for meaningful insights.
Performance Indicators:
Establish clear performance indicators and targets.
Regularly monitor and report progress to stakeholders.
Impact Evaluation:
Design and conduct impact evaluations using appropriate research methodologies.
Assess overall effectiveness and sustainability of programs.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare timely and accurate reports on M&E findings.
Present reports to senior management and stakeholders for decision-making.
Capacity Building:
Train and mentor staff, partners, and beneficiaries on M&E concepts and tools.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure data quality through regular verification and validation processes.
Learning and Knowledge Management:
Promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
Disseminate M&E findings to improve program design and implementation.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with other teams to integrate M&E processes into program planning.
Foster effective communication and coordination for successful project delivery.
Compliance and Accountability:
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor standards, and industry practices.
Monitor and report program outcomes accurately.
Additional Responsibilities:
Streamline and harmonize indicators and reporting tools.
Develop and maintain data collection templates and databases.
Collaborate with the research team to conduct periodic evaluations and surveys.
Provide end-user support for data use and report compilation.
Act as a focal person for data privacy.
Job Requirements:
Education: MA/MSc or BA/BSc Degree in Statistics, Information Science, Health Informatics, MIS, Information System, Economics, or equivalent.
Experience: Four to six years of relevant experience.
Skills, Attitudes, and Attributes:
Basic RH/FP knowledge.
Proficient in SQL and database development.
Knowledgeable in Statistical Software (SAS, SPSS, STATA).
Expert in MS Excel, including pivot tables.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to travel.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in Amharic and English).
Pro-choice stance.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Type of Employment: Contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension
