Ethiopian Skylight Hotel is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Director of Business Development
Qualification Requirements:
- BA Degree in a business-related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience in hospitality sales & marketing or account management, including a minimum of five years in a managerial or equivalent role.
- OR
- MA Degree in a business-related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience in hospitality sales & marketing or account management, including a minimum of three years in a managerial or equivalent role.
Responsibilities:
- Implement all sales plans and maximize the property’s business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain contacts with business generators, meeting planners, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate clients, government departments, and other key stakeholders.
- Develop business strategies and ensure they are executed by the sales team.
- Conduct day-to-day sales and marketing activities, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships.
- Develop and implement marketing materials and tools to support new business ventures.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and make necessary adjustments.
- Make sales calls, meet with potential new clients, and build strong relationships.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to effectively communicate and implement sales strategies and objectives.
- Generate new business opportunities through various channels and ensure the hotel’s brand standards are consistently followed.
Position 2: Director of Engineering
Education & Experience:
- BSc Degree in Civil, Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 9 years of experience in engineering, maintenance program & methods development, or maintenance planning & production control, including three years in a managerial capacity.
- OR
- MSc Degree in Civil, Aeronautical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of experience in engineering, maintenance program & methods development, or maintenance planning & production control, including three years in a managerial capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all activities related to industrial, electrical, and electronic systems, programmable logic control, and computerized air conditioning systems.
- Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial, catering, laundry, plating, machine shop machinery, x-ray machines, automatic fire fighting systems, stand-by generators, and low and high voltage loop systems.
- Prepare, estimate, record, and report work performed, ensuring completion according to schedules.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain all Life Safety Systems, including fire, burglary, surveillance cameras, digital video recorders, access control systems, intercom, network clocks, freezer/cooler probes, audio, security/HVAC pressure sensors, and other assigned systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment or conditions.
- Maintain and upgrade all life safety systems’ hardware and software.
- Respond promptly to service calls and report issues requiring vendor escalation or parts/materials.
- Implement and follow up on coaching and mentoring activities as per policy.
- Coach/train employees when assigned and assess employees under coaching when assigned as an assessor.
