Virtual banking, facilitated by Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), provides a hybrid experience combining the convenience of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) with the personal touch of a live teller. Also known as virtual tellers, ITMs automate currency handling, check acceptance, identification scanning, and receipt printing. They incorporate a human element through digital communication tools connecting users with a remote live person within the bank. Similar to using Skype on a personal computer, ITMs allow voice communication (via speaker or private handset), video conferencing, and chat.

Position: Security Officer I (የጥበቃ ሠራተኛ)

Education: Completion of 12th/10th grade. Possession of a Police or Military training certificate is advantageous (12ኛ/10ኛ ክፍል ያጠናቀቀ/ች። የፖሊስ ወይም ወታደራዊ ስልጠና የምስክር ወረቀት ጠቃሚ ነው) Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant banking experience, aged between 25 and 45. Military/Police experience is advantageous (At least 2 years of banking experience in a related position; between 25 and 45 years of age; military/police experience is important).

Purpose of work: Safeguarding the bank’s employees, customers, buildings, offices, and assets; maintaining security equipment; controlling and directing vehicles entering and exiting buildings; implementing country and bank regulations and laws.

  1. Detailed tasks:
  • Protecting the Bank’s buildings, offices, and staff.
  • Inspecting and controlling entrances and exits to buildings.
  • Executing money transfers as per official instructions.
  • Responding to accidents, reporting suspicious activities, and policy violations.
  • Directing and controlling vehicles entering and exiting the bank’s premises.
  • Notifying supervisors of incidents and control measures on the bank’s premises.
  • Ensuring the security of the bank and its branches in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Reporting security equipment for major maintenance and checking new equipment’s technical efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other security personnel.
  • Providing efficient customer service related to security work.
  • Adhering to bank, state, and federal laws.
  • Protecting the bank’s assets against robbery, assault, and fire.
  • Performing other security-related tasks assigned by superiors.
