The Embassy of the Republic of Mauritius in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, established in June 1996, had H.E. Dr. Sahid Maudarbacus as its inaugural resident Ambassador. Our consulate undertakes various responsibilities, including assisting Mauritians abroad, managing pensions, providing passport and citizenship information, facilitating business opportunities, addressing immigration and health requirements, legal matters, offering tourist information, and managing visa and residence permit applications.
Position 1: Administrative Assistant / Finance Officer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Financial Management or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Fluent in English and Amharic Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ office experience
- Prior employer recommendation letter required.
Position 2: Clerical Officer / Receptionist
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Fluent in English and Amharic Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in library/registry management.
Position 3: Logistic Assistant / Driver
Qualifications:
- Higher School Certificate (Secondary school completed)
- Fluent in English
- Valid Driver’s Licence Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ driving experience. Prior work with IGOs/Diplomatic Missions preferred.
Position 4: Confidential Secretary To The Ambassador
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management / Secretarial Science
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Fluent in English and Amharic Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ office experience.
