Vacancy Announcement:
FHI 360, a nonprofit organization committed to sustainable human development, focuses on advancing community-driven solutions across various sectors including health, education, nutrition, and economic development. Operating in over 70 countries, FHI 360 is currently engaged in the USAID-funded Feed the Future Ethiopia Community Nutrition Activity to enhance the health and nutrition outcomes for pregnant and lactating women, children, and adolescents in 132 Woredas across 9 regions and one city administration.
Position 1: Office Assistant
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 10 or 12, or Diploma equivalent
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Familiarity with Mekelle City and surrounding areas
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an INGO
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Clear criminal record
- Fluency in Amharic; working knowledge of English and local languages preferred
Position 2: Health & Nutrition Team Leader
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or international equivalent in relevant fields such as Health, Development, or Social Sciences
- Project Management Certification preferred
- Over 6 years of experience in technical implementation of large-scale projects
- Experience in providing technical assistance and capacity building
- Background in NGO or governmental health initiatives, with preference for international program management
- Proficiency in SMART and SQUEAC methodologies; strong monitoring and evaluation skills
- Ability to coordinate complex health programs with multiple stakeholders
Position 3: MEAL Officer – Filtu
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, or related disciplines; Master’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Accountability (MELA) in humanitarian or development contexts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital data collection tools
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data management
- Familiarity with health, nutrition, protection, and WASH programming
- Understanding of international humanitarian standards and UN Cluster System
Position 4: Driver Mechanic – Addis Ababa
Qualifications:
- Completion of 12th grade or equivalent
- Valid third-grade driving license
- Trained in Safety and Security with defensive driving skills
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience with international NGOs
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic computer skills and vehicle maintenance experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to challenging environments
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; understanding of local context and culture
Position 5: Driver Mechanic – Jijiga
Qualifications:
- Minimum secondary school education or equivalent
- Valid third-grade driving license
- Safety and Security training with defensive driving skills
- Similar requirements as for Addis Ababa position, including 5 years of NGO driving experience, flexibility in working hours, basic computer skills, and commitment to FHI 360 values
