We currently have an exciting opportunity for the role of Procurement Specialist and are seeking passionate, capable, and competent candidates ready to work with dedication and focus.
Position: Procurement Specialist
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Skills, Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Accounting, or related fields.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in both foreign and local procurement.
- A valid driving license is mandatory.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contract Management
- Maintain updated and organized contract files.
- Follow up on active contracts and ensure extensions are processed at least two months before expiry.
- Compliance
- Ensure the procurement process adheres to the procurement policy and procedures.
- Weekly follow-up on the status of open Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Regular system checks to ensure all POs are managed properly.
- Assist with issuing goods receiving vouchers for delivered items.
- Follow up on On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) deliveries and confirm proper closure of POs.
- Conduct management routines and address any issues or challenges with the country procurement manager.
- Supplier Evaluation
- Conduct timely supplier evaluations.
- Review supplier evaluation results and arrange meetings for those scoring below 80%.
- Weekly follow-up on open PRs and POs to ensure overdue POs are addressed.
- Reporting
- Update and communicate Procurement Operations and Visibility (POV) files with the group office before due dates.
- Analyze stock balances, Goods In Transit (GIT), and other metrics weekly, highlighting risks if stock plus GIT will not cover one quarter.
- Provide weekly updates on sample tests, Artwork (AW) approvals for new suppliers, or AW change processes.
