Position 1: Safety and Security Officer
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Security Management or a related field, complemented with security training, licensing, and registration.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar security role, with either training or field experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer tools used by Amref.
- Sound understanding of the local environment and humanitarian principles.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Capability to work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel frequently and at short notice to various locations.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Amharic; knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.

Position 2: Project Officer
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a background in health.
- Minimum of five years of experience in implementing eye care services, particularly in Trachoma, demonstrating proficiency in TT surgery and MDA.
- Previous involvement in blindness prevention, trachoma, and/or preventive ophthalmology is advantageous.
Skills and Attitude:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
